last night there was a blackout in half of melbournefrom melbourne central to grattan to elgin(where palmerston is) to i dunno where alr, except the hospitals.
SO SCARY!!
somemore last night was OCF and we only finished at like 0030. thank God for nice people with nice cars who sent us home(: after much deliberation we finally ended up at palmerston at about 0100. seriously, the WHOLE place was PITCH BLACK. and there were drunk people on the streets.. which made it all the more freaky.. but it wasnt all bad - blackouts can be fun(: minus the scary-ness of the whole groping in the dark thing. haha.
was quite an experience - the street lights were gone, the traffic lights didnt work, the fans and lights werent working(which was the most killer cos the weather was so freaking hot ytd) and whole streets were completely dark.
it's funny, the whole time through the blackout i wanted to call my family and certain friends so badly but couldnt cos 1) my stupid phonebill went thru the roof the last time 2) my phone had to batt . i guess it's times like this when you feel the distance most.. but once again, thank God for the people around - i guess it's like your friends are your family And friends once you're overseas.
okie doke, just a short update - gotta study now! exams in a week's time. AGH. okay it's not tthhhaaaatttt bad but.. there's drama! :/ we have to put on a 2min mime in front of the entire class! blehhh. IM SO NOT A DRAMA PERSON. there's a reason why whenever im on stage im always behind the drums... grumblegrumble.. have kind of got my concept i guess, but need to work on it somemore.. and there's lit! which is alright.. but it's different and i just hope i can write well according to this new criteria. and of course there's math - but it's not counted. it's not too bad now, at least i dont hate it so much anymore haha. but it's still quite unstructured. and the lecture theatre SUCKS - no ventillation AT ALL. sheeesh. oh and econs lecture has now changed to that place SHEEESH. it's in a chem building in the uni - and ytd we had to be evacuated cos there was sth gone wrong haha so funny. yeah then our lecturer walked out of class 10mins to end of lesson cos he was getting hell from some of the people. haha ah well
it's the weekend!! (: i love weekends. haha as a friend used to say "it's 3 days to the weekend!!", "it's 2 days to the weekend!!", "it's FRIDAY!! friday friday friday!" haha i get why now ;)
anyway, time to go!
