The Projectionist's Nightmare -Brian Patten

This is the projectionist's nightmare:
A bird finds its way into the cinema,
finds the beam, flies down it,
smashes into a screen depicting a garden,
a sunset and two people being nice to each other.
Real blood, real intestines, slither down
the likeness of a tree.
'This is no good,' screams the audience,
'This is not what we came to see.'

i think muriel & i got sent out of class during this poem. haha but anyway. i think it's a really nice poem. too bad it's so short and probably wont come out for any exam.. yes it is right in the middle of our exams now. poo. i can't believe they last for like practically a month! a little longer in fact cos of brilliant chinese Os. but it's pretty alright- i think im so relaxed and still can like slack a little during this time cos i can't be bothered. actually that's quite a bad attitude right. but still. i mean it's not like i'm completely not putting in effort.. it's just.. i dont get so nervous and like freaked out over all the papers. which is actually good. hmm. so is it good or bad. aiyo.

success & failure. in who's perspective? not mine. only Yours.
yes, and like char said on her blog, im so glad that our self-worth is based on Christ's love for us and not our abilities or strengths.

Jesus i decided to live
live a life that shouts Your fame

How the hell'd we wind up like this
And why weren't we able
To see the signs that we missed
And try to turn the tables

I wish you'd unclench your fists
And unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this
But don't think it's too late

Nothing's wrong
Just as long as you know that someday I will

Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now
I know you're wondering when
You're the only one who knows that
Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now
I know you're wondering when

Well I'd hope that since we're here anyway
That we could end up saying
Things we've always needed to say
So we could end up staying

Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Let's rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a Hollywood horror

Nothing's wrong
Just as long as you know that someday I will

Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now I know you're wondering when
You're the only one who knows that
Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now
I know you're wondering when
You're the only one who knows that...

How the hell'd we wind up like this
And why weren't we able
To see the signs that we missed
And try to turn the tables

Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Let's rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a Hollywood horror

Nothing's wrong
Just as long as you know that someday I will
Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now
I know you're wondering when
You're the only one who knows that

Someday somehow
I'm gonna make it alright
But not right now
I know you're wondering when
You're the only one who knows that
I know you're wondering when
You're the only one who knows that
I know you're wondering when

later.
